What's the difference?

If he had wrestled last year, he may have won AA this year and the next two years.

This year, he gained experience and may win AA the next three years.

Either way, possibly three years an AA.

Without know who the future competition may be, he will be stronger and more experienced in his R-Sr year than his true-Sr year, which could give him a better chance of national champion.
